Communications and Marketing
The primary role of the Communications and Marketing department is to ensure that a strong, positive image of UOIT is proactively communicated to all internal and external audiences, and that the image is consistent with our university's mission.
The department's main areas of responsibility are:
- Branding;
- Production of key university publications, including the calendar, core viewbook and faculty viewbooks, brochures and fundraising materials;
- News releases and media relations;
- Event planning and management;
- Advertising;
- The university website;
- The university's visual identity;
- Providing communications advice to university departments; and
- Crisis communication.
Time and resources have been invested in researching target audiences, key messages, images, techniques and communication. This led to the creation of a strategic communications and marketing plan that is reviewed and assessed regularly.
