Teaching Support
Instructional Services
Reference Librarians provide instructional services both for students (in-class instruction at the request of the professor) and for faculty in the areas of research and information literacy. Individual or small group appointments can also be made with your subject specialist librarian.
Placing Items on Reserve for your Students
Faculty members may choose to place items on reserve (short term loan) for their students.
Posting E-Resources Online
If you choose to post e-resources online within Word documents or on WebCT, another option is to create durable links or persistent URLs. See our Guide to Electronic Licenses for information on creating durable links.
Book, Audiovisual and Journal Purchases
Your suggestions for library purchases are welcome. Please note that the Library does not acquire course textbooks; however, such materials may be purchased by your department or donated by faculty and placed on reserve. See our Collection Development policy for more information.
Contact the subject librarian for your program area with your suggestions or use the suggestion form.
Copyright and Licensing
Please see the Library's copyright guidelines, copyright licensing requests and guide to electronic licensing.
