Transition programs for students and parents
Students can start on the road to success long before the first day of classes. We offer three specific transition programs to meet the needs of first year students with disabilities. The three programs offered are listed below:CSD Connection - Transition program for students with Nonverbal learning disorders and Asperger's Syndrome.
CSD Head Start - Transition program for students with learning disabilities and AD/HD.
CSD STEP - Student Transition Education Program for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury and visual, hearing, psychiatric or physical disabilities.
We encourage students and parents to review the information on the transition programs as early as possible. Students are required to register with the CSD to determine if they are eligible for one of the transition programs.
Students who have attended our transition programs indicate that the information and skills they learned from our programs increased their confidence and positively impacted their academic success.
