Who should attend?

  • Any student with a learning disability
  • Any student with AD/HD
  • Students with a communications exception may be considered after screening and an assessment have been arranged

Why should you attend?

  • Gain a better understanding of your disability, your rights and your responsibilities
  • Develop study skills and strategies to prepare for university
  • Create a web page about your disability for your professors, using Dreamweaver and Photoshop (August session only)
  • Learn your way around campus, build new friendships and a support network
  • Receive prizes and free lunch

May 8th 2012                                   Spring Session  (parents and students)
Aug 27th - August 31 2012                Summer Session (students only)


How do you register?

1. Call the Centre for Students with Disabilities at 905.721.3123 to arrange for an intake session.

    Bring to your intake session a copy of your:

  • IEP Documentation
  • IPRC Documentation
  • Psycho-Educational Assessment

2. Arrange an appointment with a Disability Counsellor

 

3. Provide a current psycho-educational assessment with a clear diagnosis of a Learning Disability or AD/HD or have an appointment pre-arranged to get the assessment.
  • Psycho-educational assessments may be available for eligible participants at no cost.
