Janice Cramer

Dr. Janice Cramer comes to the Faculty of Education from the Toronto District School Board where she served as a secondary school Chemistry teacher and Program Team Leader of Math and Science at York Mills C.I.

She obtained her Ph.D in Inorganic Chemistry (N.M.R. Spectroscopy) at McMaster University, after completing a B.Sc. in Co-op Chemistry at the University of Waterloo. Following her Bachelor of Education studies at Lakehead University, she taught for six years in a variety of Ontario secondary school settings from rural to inner city. Her research interests include enhancing scientific literacy, teaching with technology, and improved safety training for both pre-service and in-service teacher classrooms. She is currently teaching both the Chemistry and Physics curriculum methods courses in the Faculty of Education.
