The Canadian Center for South Asian Studies (CCSAS) is a virtual research and knowledge center at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. It is committed to exploring and enhancing Canada’s interface with the South Asian economies and the South Asian immigrant community in Canada.

The Center has an interdisciplinary social science and business focus, and its members are engaged in a diverse research agenda spanning economics, politics and social issues. It is especially committed to analyzing and promoting the role of commercialization of technology and its implications for economic and social development.

In addition to research, the Center is committed to promoting teaching and learning. Towards that end the Center has created a depository of valuable information for both students and teachers, who wish to access resources on the developing and emerging economies of South Asia.

To cater to the interests of those who wish to have knowledge about developments in the Canadian economy we have made available valuable information on the economics, politics and social issues of Canada. In this manner the site achieves a marriage of North-South events affecting both North America and South Asia.
