Introducing Windows 8.1
Information Technology (IT) Services is upgrading all learning tool operating systems from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 for the 2015-16 academic year. The Operating System (OS) has been configured to ensure a smooth transition to Windows 8.1 while maintaining all of the performance improvements and advanced features that Windows 8.1 offers. Students will have the opportunity to use both interfaces, the Desktop (Windows 7 format) and the new Start screen (Windows 8.1 format) simultaneously. Electrical and computing outage - July 4, 2015
The Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability would like to remind the campus community that the annual electrical substation maintenance at the north Oshawa location is scheduled for Saturday, July 4 from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please note: In the event inclement weather delays this project, it would take place on Saturday, July 11. The power outage will affect cooling systems, which means much of the university’s information technology network will be down during this period as well.
