OSAP provides financial assistance to help students finance their education. To apply online, please click here.
By completing the OSAP application, students are automatically assessed for loan and grant assistance through government grant programs. Since applications require approximately four weeks to process, applying early is advised. To inquire about the status of your application, please visit the OSAP website. Note: your OSAP Access Number (OAN) and password are required to check your status on your OSAP account.
Updates in your OSAP funding
Updates in your OSAP funding can be found by logging into your OSAP account using your OAN and password.
If you are required to submit supporting documentation to finalize your OSAP funding, click on Check Status and then Required Documents (under Status Details on the left-hand side). This message will remain until the documentation has been processed and approved.
To check on the date your funding was issued or if you are entitled to additional funding, click on Funding Summary (under Status Details on the left-hand side). Your loan document should be ready for pick-up 10 days after the date.
OSAP access number and password reset
If you cannot access your OSAP account due to an invalid OSAP access number and/or password, you need to take your Social Insurance Card and government issued photo ID to a Financial Aid office at any post-secondary institution in Ontario and request it to be reset.
