		<description><![CDATA[ <b>May 18, 2012</b><br>Last day to withdraw from seven-week spring session courses without academic consequences (i.e. without receiving a grade). Courses dropped after this date will be recorded on the academic transcript with a grade of W to indicate withdrawal.

Last day to withdraw from a seven-week spring session course and receive a 50 per cent refund of tuition fees. ]]></description>

		<title>Gates Foundation Biomarkers for HIV deadline</title>
		<description><![CDATA[ <b>May 18, 2012</b><br>The Gates Foundation’s HIV strategy aims at reducing new infections and reducing the burden of disease in developing countries. Our strategy is to strengthen HIV prevention and help ensure programs are as efficient and effective as possible.

Value: up to of $3 million for establishing proof-of-concept of a novel biomarker, or set of biomarkers, for the measurement of HIV incidence.  Individual proposals are eligible for up to $1 million and should clearly identify decisions and endpoints that fit within 36 months. ]]></description>

		<title>Campus lockdown drill</title>
		<description><![CDATA[ <b>May 23, 2012</b><br>UOIT and Durham College will hold an emergency lockdown drill at their joint campus on Wednesday, May 23 at 9:45 a.m. All buildings west of Simcoe Street North and south of Conlin Road will be affected.
