Reporting discrimination
UOIT is committed to maintaining an environment that is free of discrimination. Allison Hector-Alexander, diversity officer, investigates complaints of discrimination based on:
- Race;
- Ethnicity;
- Colour;
- Creed;
- Geographic origin;
- Language;
- Socio-economic class;
- Gender/sex;
- Sexual orientation;
- Marital status;
- Physical, developmental or psychological ability;
- Religion or spiritual affiliation;
- Age;
- Appearance; and
- Political affiliation.

In-person visits may be made at the Diversity Office located in the Gordon Willey building, Room B205. Consultations are confidential and your complaint will not be acted upon until you request the diversity officer to use policy to resolve it. The Diversity Office offers a safe, respectful environment for the informal discussion of discrimination concerns and quick, confidential resolution.
