Campus Health Centre is offering Mediation Group 2011
Classes will run Jan. 24th ongoing every Monday
Do you want to improve your stress resiliency? Learn how to use these simple and effective techniques for reducing the effects of stress in a fun, relaxed and non-judgmental group setting. These are some of the techniques you will have the opportunity to experience; conscious breath, work guided meditation, creative visualization mindfulness,affirmations, progressive relaxation, body mind awareness techniques.
Start date: First session was Jan. 17, 2011
Each session is 75 minutes in length and is to be provided weekly each Monday evening until end of February 2011
depending on number of attendees. Feel free to join at any time.
Place: Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre, Aerobics room 1 (G2013)
Dress in comfy clothing and bring a yoga mat or towel to sit on the floor with.
We request up to a $5 donation per session if you are able. All monies collected will be donated to the Campus Food Bank.
A bit about your facilitator:
Leeson Clifton RMT, Body psychotherapist, Reiki Practitioner, teaches Introduction to Wellness and Holistic Wellness Applications in Durham College's Fitness and Health Promotions Program. Leeson is a passionate advocate for the art of infusing mindfulness and body-mind awareness practices in our everyday life. The practice of body-mindfulness is cost free and available to everyone. Its practice has the potential to help people to not just survive but THRIVE in this often hectic and demanding world!
